Interview with Andrea Pavlovic

Andrea Pavlovic: University of Zagreb, CROATIA

- Could you present yourself in a few sentences?

I’m Andrea Pavlovic, I’m from Croatia and I’m coming from the university of Zagreb. I started table tennis when I was 8 years old. I’m 300 in the world ranking but I hope next years I would be able to play more and maybe reach a better place.

- You are the second player that I interview from Croatia, it seems that you have a really good level in your country. Could you explain that?

We have really good players in Croatia, we have strong team. It’s not as famous as football of course but we have good level.

- I saw that you had some good results, that you have been Croatian champion twice, qualifier for the youth Olympic games in 2018, so, what represent this competition for you? Is it just one like any other?

It’s a little different for me because I’m representing my university and it’s really important for us, it’s not the same as representing a country. Of course we give our best in both event. For this one we are fighting at every match and we hope we can reach the medal.

- How did you prepared yourself for this championship? What was your typical training session?

Before this I had played two tournaments, Tunis and Zagreb and after this I practiced few days and then I came here.

- Do you think that’s the secret of your winning is a lot of practice?

Of course! You have to practice a lot to reach some levels.
