Jakub Folwarski: Zamojski Academy, POLAND
- Could you present yourself in a few sentences?
My name is Jakub Folwarski, I’m 27 years old and I’m from Poland. I don’t play world tours, in Poland I also don’t play tournaments but two years ago I was top 8 in Poland.
- You’re one of the scariest team in this competition. Does it makes you safer of your game or gives you more stress?
I don’t feel like this, I just focus on myself, try to do a good game and enjoy my tournament.
- So you trust your team and you’re probably right because you won yesterday and today. What do you think a team needs to make a great game and win?
For us, yesterday was not so good opponents but today we played two good matches so I think now we can really feel this tournament. I think we will play better game by game and we focus on every game and try to have a good team spirit, for me this is the most important.
- I can see that we have 4 school from Poland in this championship, do you have an explanation? Is it a very famous sport in your country?
Yes, quite, a lot of people play table tennis in Poland, I think it’s because you don’t need a lot of things to practice this sport, just a table and a racket.
- Does it explain your big level? Or could you tell us how can we reach yours?
Practice, without practice it’s not possible. I started when I was 8, I’m 27 now, so it’s 19 years old of a professional table tennis player. Just practice!
